چکیده
This paper reports the development and verification of a new procedure for formation complete stress-strain curve concrete with downward region strain by using digital image correlation method. A technique to build spectle patterns on surface is described. That makes it possible accurately enough reproduce perform high-quality analysis strains involving correlation. The advantages this research have been established when predicting internal cracks in followed their propagation. In addition, methodology obtain entire studied plane sample at each stage loading. provides an opportunity investigate change movement individual points or areas studying surfaces. relevant issue as enables more detailed diagnostics existing reinforced structures. To check accuracy application, mechanical gauge 0.001 mm was additionally installed. 2 high-speed monochrome CCD cameras different lenses were used determining technique. deformations controlled period time every 250 ms. load additional third camera speed 50 frames/second. result experimental study formed full destruction diagram strain. deviation results based base 200 from those acquired mainly up 10 %, which confirms reliability results. work allow accurate calculation structures practice design, inspection, reinforcement

Processing Digital Image for Measurement of Crack Dimensions in Concrete
The elements of the concrete structure are most frequently affected by cracking. Crack detection is essential to ensure safety and performance during its service life. Cracks do not have a regular shape, in order to achieve the exact dimensions of the crack; the general mathematical formulae are by no means applicable. The authors have proposed a new method which aims to measure the crack dimen...
متن کاملA New Technique based on Strain Energy for Correction of Stress-strain Curve
Tensile stress-strain curve is of high importance in mechanics of materials particularly in numerical simulations of material deformations. The curve is usually obtained by experiment but is limited by necking phenomenon. Engineering stress-strain curve is converted to true stress-strain curve through simple formulas. The conversion, however, is correct up the point of necking. From this point ...
متن کاملBubble formation on a single orifice in a gas solid fluidized bed using digital image analysis
Digital Image Analysis (DIA) has been employed to characterize the time evolution of a bubble injected from a single orifice into a pseudo 2-dimansional gas-solid fluidized bed. The injected bubble diameter increased with the square root of time before detachment. During bubble free flight in the bed, its diameter remains approximately constant. The center of mass of the bubble increases with t...
متن کاملCharacteristic Points of Stress-Strain Curve at High Temperature
Determination of critical points on hot stress-strain curve of metals is crucial in thermo-mechanical processes design. In this investigation a mathematical modeling is given to illustrate the behavior of metal during hot deformation processes such as hot rolling. The critical strain for the onset of dynamic recrystallization has been obtained as a function of strain at the maximum stress. In a...
متن کاملInvestigation of Stress-Strain Behavior of Plastic Concrete Using Monotonic Triaxial Compression Tests
In this paper, the mechanical behavior of plastic concrete being used in the cut-off walls of earth dams has been studied. To do the task, triaxial compression tests on the specimens in various ages and mix designs under different confining pressures have been done and the stress-strain behavior of such materials and their strength parameter changes has been experimentally investigated. It has ...
